Terms of Service & Medical Disclaimer
Last Updated: August 2026 • Applies to all consultation requests
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before utilizing the second opinion services provided through aoopinion.com and ao opinion. By accessing our website or requesting a medical second opinion, you agree to be bound by the following provisions.
ao opinion is NOT an emergency medical service. If you or a loved one are experiencing acute chest pain, shortness of breath, severe trauma, sudden neurological deficits, or any life-threatening medical emergency, please call your local emergency services (such as 911 / 112) or proceed immediately to the nearest hospital emergency room.
1. Scope of Second Opinion Services
ao opinion is a specialized digital healthcare facilitation platform that connects patients and families with independent, experienced physician specialists.
The second opinion report provided to you is an educational, consultative review of the diagnostic scans, biopsy reports, pathology notes, and medical records submitted by you. Because our consulting physicians do not conduct an in-person physical examination of the patient, this second opinion is intended to provide insights, explore clinical alternatives, and assist you in discussing treatment with your primary treating physician.
2. Patient-Physician Relationship
The delivery of an informational second opinion report does not establish an ongoing primary doctor-patient relationship, nor does it create a direct clinical admitting relationship. You are strongly advised to share the second opinion findings and discuss all recommended courses of action with your local treating doctor prior to altering medications, undergoing surgery, or halting treatments.
3. Patient Responsibilities for Record Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, legible, and complete medical records, including diagnostic reports, imaging archives, and clinical summaries. The reviewing specialist relies upon the materials and information you furnish. We are not liable for opinions influenced by omitted, corrupted, or altered patient records.
4. Turnaround Times & Delivery
Second opinion reports are delivered based on your selected complexity tier (Standard Diagnostic Review $80, Complex Surgery Review $130, or Critical Oncology Review $190), generally within 12 to 24 hours (or under 5 hours for Urgent Fast-Track) following the complete submission of diagnostic records.
5. Scope of Service & Report Delivery
Each consultation provides an exhaustive, structured written second opinion report based on your submitted medical imaging, pathology notes, and medical history. The service is considered completed upon delivery of your final written physician report. Inquiries regarding new symptoms, separate anatomical areas, or new diagnoses require a separate consultation request.
6. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure
All case records and clinical discussions are governed by strict confidentiality guidelines as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We maintain appropriate technological protections to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
